The Funding Team members are specialists in Accounting, Editing, Education, Grantwriting and Requests for Proposals, Marketing, Strategic Planning, Technology Platform Training, and Nonprofit Start-ups.

Our success is a direct result of our team’s expertise. Currently, our team of eight experts is more than sufficient, but as community needs grow, we plan to expand by adding new members.

As the founders of The Funding Team, we cherish our role in the community. We feel blessed to support nonprofit organizations and ministries in their vital community work. Serving the under-served is God's work, and we are honored to help these organizations achieve their highest potential. With over 30 years of experience in community-based work, our passion remains as strong as ever.

Accounting Team

Laura, Elsie, and interns from California State University, Fresno (CSU Fresno) have been the backbone of our accounting efforts for several years. Their work is essential to every project we undertake. Critical nonprofit decisions often hinge on "the numbers," and funding sources profoundly impact future planning. Whether they are working on organization budgets, payroll, insurance comparisons, grant budgets, or board reports, this dedicated team ensures that the financial foundation is always solid.

Grantwriting Team

Ashley, Esmeralda, Hannah, Mayra, and Shireen form our exceptional team of writers, editors, and graphic artists. Each week, they tackle a variety of projects, including:

This talented group is responsible for preparing grant proposals for complex applications and various funding initiatives. Together, we have secured millions of dollars over the years for local nonprofits providing essential community services.

Service Learning

The Funding Team collaborates with CSU Fresno to offer students service learning, volunteer, and internship opportunities through various nonprofit organizations. Students receive training tailored to their fields of interest, which may include:

Recreation Administration

Students have created nonprofit marketing plans and assisted in coordinating special galas that hosted hundreds of attendees. Our goal is to equip students with the skills and resources they need to succeed in the workforce.
